Mrs. Keneisha Jones
Mrs. Jones is a Unicorn mixed with a dash of double Tarheel! She moved to Durham (NC) to attend the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, and loved it so much that she stayed in the area and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed a Master of Education in School Counseling at UNC Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Jones loves spending her time with her husband, their new baby girl, and their dog, Dex. On any given day she can be found enjoying good savory foods (with lots of melted cheese), the adrenaline of a good workout, and music that makes her heart smile. Other favorite activities include watching mystery shows, long hilarious talks with friends and family, and spending time at the beach reading a good book and taking in the ocean breeze.
Mrs. Jones has been a School Counselor since 2011 in both elementary and middle schools, and if asked, which she loves the most, hands down, middle school is her jam! Mrs. Jones finds it rewarding to help her students discover who they are as individuals, and provide support to help them identify their passions, and work toward their goals. When she was a student, Mrs. Jones had two amazing School Counselors who opened her eyes to a world of possibilities, and as an adult, Mrs. Jones wants to pay it forward by supporting her students and encouraging them to live their best lives through positive experiences and opportunities.
